Aberscreen- STACK Collective

An interactive installation, using light projection. Showing Aberdeen’s colourful transformation from day to night, over a movable screen, allowing for playfulness between the light, movement and shadows behind.

footage of Aberdeen moving from day to night at locations such as union street, the harbour, Beach front and the River Dee. The aim of this being to capture and project the colours of the
city as it moves from day to night.

When visitors interact with the ‘Aberscreen’ by walking through it, they will transform not only the projected images but the screen itself, creating a mysterious and playful space. The layers of light, shadow and movement will distort the images of Aberdeen, encouraging visitors to see their familiar city in an unfamiliar way.

The STACK Collective are Aberdeen based artists Claire Burnett, Laura Reilly, Claire Paul and Grant Anderson.
